Global Warming

Everybody wants to live in a place with good environment, such as the blue sky, enough water, fresh air, green grass, and beautiful flowers as the picture showed. Why not everyone start to protect our Earth to reduce global warming. Let's join the Earth Hour program, turn off lights for an hour at 7.30 pm on 31 March 2007. If everyone take a action, it would help the environment that we are living. In current, water and fresh air is very important to us. I try to save water as possible as I can. Let's consider our descendants' better life on the Earth, please start to do something for our sons and grand-sons to save the Earth.

The Bridge Walk

Last Sunday, I really had a good time with my husband and my little son for the bridge walk. This is my first time to enjoy the gorgous bridge walk to celebrate the 75th Sydney bridge's birthday. Everybody weared the same green cap, it is lovely. I saw most of the people on the bridge were happy. They were laughing, waving hands, dancing, and singing. It is so harmonous! Everybody enjoyed the good time and forgot the bad things. The picture on Marion's blog were taken of the bridge walk. I think they are Marion's friends. Whoever they are, I think Marion must have a fantastic exprience of bridge walk.

TAFE's Library

In TAFE's library, all the enrolled students can borrow books from library. When you want to borrow some books from the library, you should bring your TAFE card with you. Students can borrow 10 items one day such as books, videos, etc. They can print books magazines including video items for example video casette, and CD. Students can borrow video for one week. If they want to borrow books for a longer time, they would renew the books. They can renew the book by telephone, and they can renew the book twice, that is 6 weeks. Students can search the library catelogue at home, but they can't return the book after-hours. The library is open at 9 am. You can print or photocopy in the library with your TAFE card by loading money on the TAFE card. Each copy for the black-white paper is 20 cents, if your a student association member, you would pay half price. In TAFE library, assignment sevrices are provided. The librarians can help students get some information for assignment. There are many resources for ESL students such as books, types, audio books, readers, and story books. Students can borrow book from other TAFE libraries. It is a good idea for ESL students, they can borrow a variety of dictionaries which they needn't to buy because dictionaries are expensive.

Australian Engish at Beach

In Sydney beaches, there are many signs as showed in the picture. All the signs I knew that there are two kinds of signs. One are warning signs for swimmers' safety, anthor are beach regulations for swimmers to obey. I know all the meaning of the signs because it is easy to read. In China, it has such kind of signs, but it has many varieties of contents on the basis of different situations.

Banana tree flower

Hi Marion,This is a banana tree flower. It is amazing. It may be taken in a resident house, because I found it has a clothes hanger in the picture. I guess it was taken in someone's backyard.
